Scholarships for arts professionals from British Council

21 August 2014

The British Council in Ukraine will award two annual scholarships for arts professionals to improve their English language skills. The call is open for Ukrainian arts managers, artists and culture journalists.

Two winners will become students of a one-year course of myClass.

myClass is a unique new English language learning product which gives students complete control of their studies by letting them choose their time, day and teacher. The student can independently determine the intensity of training and pass a course in a shorter or longer period.

The course consists of a 120 hour-English course at the British Council (Kyiv) starting from 1 October 2014. The British Council will settle the cost of 75% of the course and provide all class materials free of charge. The winners will have to pay for the first 30 hours of studies (25% - UAH 3,500).

We invite arts practitioners, managers, journalists, etc., who have been working in the Ukrainian arts scene for the last three years, with intermediate level of English (B1-B2) and strong motivation for their professional development.

In order to apply for scholarship please send before 14 September 2014 the following documents to [email protected]

  • CV (either in Ukrainian or English)
  • Motivation letter in Ukrainian telling us how English can improve your career in arts.

The winners will be selected and notified in the week by the end of September. Only two winners will be contacted.
